About MyCDLPractice
MyCDLPractice exists for one reason: too many CDL practice test sites are bloated with paywalls, sign-up forms, ads stuffed into every paragraph, and questions copied straight from the official manual without any context. We thought we could do better.
What we are
A free, no-account-required practice test platform covering every CDL endorsement — General Knowledge, Air Brakes, Combination Vehicles, HAZMAT, Tanker, Doubles/Triples, Passenger, School Bus, and Pre-Trip Inspection.
Every practice test is written from the same source material the states use to write their actual exams: the FMCSA CDL Manual. We then add explanations so you actually learn the rule, instead of just memorizing the answer for one question.
What we are not
We're not the FMCSA, your state DMV, or a CDL school. We're a study aid — the same kind of help you'd get from a friend quizzing you on the kitchen table. Passing one of our practice tests doesn't guarantee you'll pass the real one. It just means you're better prepared than you were yesterday.
How we keep it free
Two ways. First, we partner with two trusted services that drivers genuinely need: ELDT365 for FMCSA-registered ELDT theory training (which you legally have to complete before taking your CDL skills test), and CDLSpot for finding a CDL school near you. Second, we run a small number of unobtrusive ads on the site. That's it. No paid tier, no email harvesting, no upsells.
Who we are
MyCDLPractice is part of a small group of independent CDL-industry products built to help drivers succeed without getting nickel-and-dimed at every step. We come from a family-owned trucking school background — we know what it's like to be someone trying to break into the industry without a thousand spare dollars to spend on study materials.
